SOMA LUNA · HAYWARDS HEATH

Regulate. Restore. Reconnect.

Rest is part of the practice

Slow down.
Move well.
Restore.

You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted to benefit from slowing down. Mobility, breath, balance, stillness and deep rest are part of a strong body and a sustainable life.
Soma Luna brings together somatics, Yin, restorative yoga, sound and gentle movement in a warm, quiet space designed to help you feel better when you leave than when you arrived.

Find the practice you need today

Choose how you want to feel.

Start with how you want to feel. Whether you need movement, stillness, sound, rest or something gentler, our timetable is designed to help you find the right practice for today.
01

Looser + more mobile

Try Somatics, gentle mobility and slower movement to explore range, ease stiffness and reconnect with how your body moves.
02

Quieter + grounded

Try Yin and slower floor-based practices using breath, longer holds and stillness to settle attention.
03

Deeply rested

Try Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra when what you need is less effort, more support and permission to stop doing.
04

Immersed in sound

Try Sound Baths for an immersive practice combining stillness, vibration and deep sensory rest.
Why rest matters

Rest gives you more energy for everything else.

Restful practice is more than a pleasant hour away from a busy week. Research into yoga, meditation, slow breathing and deep relaxation increasingly suggests that regular mind-body practice can support some of the systems most affected by modern life — from sleep and mood to blood pressure, pain and cognitive function.
Heart + circulation

Blood pressure + recovery

Yoga and mindfulness programmes have been associated with reductions in blood pressure, while slow breathing has been shown to increase heart-rate variability linked with parasympathetic regulation.

Sleep

Insomnia + poor sleep

Mindfulness-based practices can improve sleep quality. Yoga Nidra is also being studied for insomnia and sleep disturbance, with promising early results.

Mind

Stress, anxiety + low mood

Yoga and mindfulness have some of their most consistent evidence around perceived stress and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Pain + mobility

Back pain + persistent tension

Yoga has evidence for improving pain and function in chronic low-back pain, with some promising evidence for neck pain and other persistent musculoskeletal symptoms.

Midlife

Menopause + changing energy

Recent research has found yoga can improve overall menopausal symptoms, sleep, anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as blood pressure in women around menopause.

Brain + ageing

Attention, memory + cognition

Studies in older adults suggest yoga-based mind-body practices may support attention, executive function and memory as part of healthy cognitive ageing.

You may recognise yourself here.

Busy mind. Poor sleep. High blood pressure. Persistent stress. Anxiety. Low mood. Back or neck discomfort. Menopause. Feeling constantly “on”. Difficulty recovering from training, work or simply a full life.

These are all reasons people begin making quieter practice a regular part of their week.

The research covers different yoga, meditation and breathing programmes rather than Soma Luna classes specifically, and the strength of evidence varies by condition. These practices are complementary to appropriate medical care, not a replacement for it.
